Creating Analytics Alerts

You can create analytics alerts to notify you about any issues on your site. When an issue appears, Yottaa sends you an automated email with information about the issue. Here are some examples of potential analytics alerts:

  • When your site reaches a certain number of 5xx errors within a specific time frame.

  • When you reach a set number of visitors from a specific geo location.

  • When you get a certain number of hits on a coupon page.

You can also ask Customer Success to set up analytics alerts for you, or get ideas from them on alerts that you might want to set.

To create an alert:

  1. In Edge Acceleration menu, expand Traffic and click Issue Definitions.

  2. Click New Issue Definition in the top right.

  3. Select the alert’s severity from the drop-down.

  4. Ensure that the Enabled checkbox is selected.

  5. Enter a meaningful name for your alert.

  6. For the Threshold, in the Traffic drop-down select Exceeds or Drops Below and enter a threshold for the number of requests.

  7. In the requests within drop-down, select a time period.

  8. To add more filters, click Add Filter and select the options.

You can add multiple filters to one alert. To add additional filters, click the plus sign . To delete a filter, click the minus sign .
  9. Click Save.
